How do we stay grounded when the world is spinning?

How do we help when there is so much suffering?

How do we find peace and joy when we carry so much heaviness?

Fall 2020 is a time of deep concern and overwhelm for so many people. In Season 2 of The Retreat Space, we will focus on caring for ourselves and each other during these difficult times.

The bedrock of this season will be about compassion. When we are gentle with ourselves and open-hearted with others, we can heal together and be a collective force for change.

I invite you to take a moment to sit quietly and connect to your heart. Feel its warmth. Notice how fast it’s beating. Ask how it’s doing. If emotions come up, welcome them with tenderness and allow them to flow through you like water. Do not judge what’s in your heart right now; rather, greet it with love. Remind yourself what a challenging time this is for you and for the world. Give yourself some kind encouragement, the way you would for a friend or a child. When things get tough, I invite you to keep coming back to your heart and to your kindness.

As we offer Gentle Support for Trying Times, I will add all Season 2 offerings to this post. Keep checking back for supportive resources to guide you through this fall with greater compassion and ease. We’re in this together.
